About Me
Hi, I'm Taylor Jones, a 35-year-old blind marathon runner and motivational speaker from Richmond, VA. I lost my vision in a car crash in 2014, but that hasn't stopped me from pursuing my passions. I'm a coffee enthusiast, a marathon runner, and I have a passion for inspiring others to embrace their challenges and better themselves.
My journey began on Christmas morning 2014 when I was involved in a severe car accident that left me blind. After months of recovery and relearning basic tasks, I found solace in running. With the help of my guide, Dan Beckmann, I completed my first half marathon in Richmond, and since then, I've run 10 half marathons in my hometown. In 2021, I achieved a major milestone by completing the New York City Marathon, guided by Dan.
My goal is to complete all six World Marathon Majors, starting with the Chicago Marathon. I believe that with courage over fear, anything is possible.
